Teenage Girl Thrown From Horse In Leyden, Airlifted To Hospital: Officials

A teenage girl had be airlifted to the hospital after she was thrown from a horse in Western Massachusetts this week, according to fire officials.

Bernardston Police and Fire responded to the incident on East Hill Branch Road in Leyden around 11:47 a.m. on Friday, May 5, Bernardston Fire said on Facebook

The girl suffered a serious but non-life-threatening injury, the department added. She was taken via medical helicopter to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield for treatment.
